LIVING IN THE NOW! -. IT WAS IF THE WORLD STOPPED EXISTING FOR AN HOUR!

Last week was probably one of the most challenging weeks I have experienced in a long time.

We had areas within my business and my life that some how decided to erupt, unannounced with a lot of venom.

At first glance, I decided that it is just challenge.  I decided to rise to the challenge, but this challenged turned into a number of challenges and as I was stepping up the fuel was being drained.

After 3 days of major challenges, I had run out of puff and I knew I had to find something to recharge the batteries, because our situation was anything but empowering.

The team, had started the faint cry of defeat, my team of staff were very much down in the mouth and the first time I had no answers, thoughts or any smart or light hearted thing to say (which is usually what I do when thing aren’t looking so great)

We were set to have a meeting on Wednesday night.  I went for a walk and ended up finding a rocky out crop looking over Maggie Island.  I found these two rocks sat down (they were positioned like a cut of tree stump)

I lay back and shut my eyes, I drifted off thinking today,

 I just can’t think any more. 

• ·      The wheels upstairs weren’t turning,
• ·      There was no flash thoughts,

·      There was nothing accept the sound of the waves rolling against the rock, a noisy high pitched cricket chirping away and creak of a boat slapping against water.

It was the most peaceful place I had been to in years. 

It was if the world stopped existing for just an hour.

 The last time I had given my self some time off was when we were shearing in desert.  I would climb the red sand hills and watch the sunset deliver nine unique colours across the sand dunes and see the stars pattern the sky and hear the start of the nightly chorus.

I mutter the words “Life is really FREE” and out of the no where a old fella replied

 "and many people never realize it”

I had a great chat with this bloke.  Ex stock broker, real estate and venture capitalist. 

“He said it is great to see someone living in the now.  In the pursuit of success, we strive for the future, measure our past and forget about the now.  Now is the most important aspect of life. 

For what we appreciate now is what we will receive in the future. -

 Life is a reward of appreciation”

He wander off and straight away I knew the fuel tank had been refilling.  I jumped up and ran (which is not like me at all).  By the time I got home I had my answers. 

• My thoughts were flowing, my ideas were clear, my thoughts and arguments were focused.

I went straight to my BFE journal to write down my message,

·      “Life is a Reward of Appreciation” 

·      What we appreciate now is what we will receive in the future

• ·      Take time out to live in the now
• ·      Life is a FREE
• ·      Be the student and open to learn.

These principles are what we study everyday in Beyond Freedom Evolution, some times we just need to see, view or hear through some one else's eyes!

"Now- yesterday" is your past- "Now tomorrow" is your future- Make Now today Count!

Is No a default setting that requires challenging? Or is No a safety net to saying we don’t understand?

This week I am down in Mackay and I decided to take on Alison call to

Redo my goals.  (Mining conferences are great places to make notes and clarify what I want to achieve.)

After another (look what we have done meeting) I posed a past question, which the whole group has pushed into the too hard basket and watched one bloke answer a question, with no answer, intention or action plan.

Then we were asked to vote on it!  

At the lunch break, everyone was glad they had made a decision. 

I asked what was the decision?

 The answer was I am not sure, but at least that part is finished.  We voted No!

Why did you vote know?

I think the big Boss’s have most of the answers so I voted with them, I know where my bread is buttered!

Hop into a new career today

After lunch I sat down to call back a prospect after viewing the BOC.  He said to me that

1.     He supposed he had to make decision

2.     He wanted to change his circumstances

3.     It was necessary for him to make the change

4.     Then decided not to move forward

I asked why?

I will say no, just incase I make the wrong decision.

I asked what if No is the wrong the decision?

Well, it is better to say no because then nothing can really happen, can it!

I decided no was probably going to be my answer as well.

 But it had me thinking………….

We are a very lucky group of people in Polaris Global we get to challenge No and all the past and new ideas as a part of our DMO.

Giving people a strategy to challenge themselves is one of the many reasons I bought this business.  Giving people the confidence to stand outside the herd and challenge what they being told is another.

I am Perfectly Positioned to Profit.

I have just headed home for our bangtail muster this week.  I have been shifting cattle around and getting to spend some quality time back in the saddle and thank god for iPhones, I have had ideas flow into my head as clear as crystal.

We have received a bit rain and our numbers are lower than normal but they are all looking great.  We went OK through the past 3-year drought and we are Perfectly Positioned to Profit.

The words Perfectly Positioned to Profit are written on my white board above my desk back in Townsville.  I wrote them up there the day I became a M8 distributer for Polaris Global.  It was my first major goal I had to achieve.

The Kelpies are watching the herd.

This is what every person who joins Polaris Global should be doing, Positioning your self to Profit.  That means getting to a M8 level as quick as you can and start building the organization.  Many of us (me) saw the big picture early even though it has been a learning curve of different levels and pressures, I am grateful to have learnt it (I would not have said that 5 years ago).

However as I ride around these cattle I have a glint in my eye and knowing that this Station, My Business and My Goals are all Perfectly Positioned to Profit, thanks to the BFE program and a better way of thinking.
